SlingShot For US Marine Corps

As an expeditionary force, the USMC relies on their ability to move light, move fast and strike from “Over the Horizon”. Marine Expeditionary Units are often called upon to assist friendly partner nations in times of crisis. Spectra Group’s “SlingShot-Radio Over Satellite” enhances a MEU’s capability to communicate over the horizon and with partner nation forces.

SlingShot provides BLOS communications, Comms-on-the-Move and Coalition/Interoperability communications. The SlingShot system affords various radios in different frequency bands (UHF and VHF) the ability to communicate with each other in the same tactical radio network. This provides the MEU Commander with a capability they haven’t had before.
